Process

Here are the Steps We Follow for Tub Refinishing

  1. Ensuring a clean tub, use of a razor blade to scrape imperfections and/or sand paper to smooth the surface.
  2. All caulking gets removed and scraped.
  3. Apply etch with paint brush and scrub for at least 5-10 minutes.
  4. Wash down etch and sand with wet sand paper.
  5. Rinse with water and sponge all over again.
  6. We use a vacuum to remove water from the caulking line & drainage area.
  7. We then use a lacquer thinner to rise the tub thoroughly and let dry.
  8. Securing the shower head and faucet with a plastic bag is important to avoid leaking of any water that may interfere or damage the process.
  9. The tub and area is then masked.
  10. A cloth is used to get rid of any remaining debris.
  11. We place a ventilation system on the floor to reduce fumes & avoid any debris or dust falling.
  12. A final wipe is done to remove any dust that might be left on the bottom of the tub.
  13. Two coats of primer is used to cover the entire tub.
  14. We allow the primer to stand a few moments in between coats then use mixed acrylic polyurethane to spray as a top coat.
  15. Three to four coats are sprayed on the tub leaving no drips or runs.
